      When customers search for your service-category (say painters) in one of your cities, you are listed as an option. Based on your information (which you provide) and your credentials (like Better Business Bureau endorsement or Diamond Certified listing), customers, can invite you (and others) to bid on their home-improvement or home-repair project.

      When a customer picks you, ServiceCharlie will contact you with the project details along with the customer's contact information. Now, you can contact the customer for more info or you can submit your quote/bid and thus win the business.

    • ServiceCharlie understands that different service providers prefer to be contacted in different ways. Therefore, we can reach you in any of the following ways.

  • How much does ServiceCharlie cost?
    • Service providers are charged a flat-fee of US$ 5.00 for each lead that is sent to them. This low fee ensures that even the most modest service provider can play and compete for business. There is no up-selling and there are no hidden fees. $5.00 per lead is all that you pay.

      Even this low-fee of $5.00 per lead is FULLY WAIVED until Apr 2010!! Thats right! Until Apr 2010, you pay nothing! We would like you to enroll and test drive ServiceCharlie for yourself and see how it can help you and your business.

  • How / when do I pay for my sales leads?
    • ServiceCharlie is currently FREE for use until Apr-1-2010. No payment needed until Apr-1-2010.
       
      After that, you can buy credits which are used up as leads are sent to you. For example you could buy credits worth $50/. At $5.00 per sales lead, it will buy you 10 sales leads. Whenever, your credits are about to expire, we will send you a notification to that effect so that you can replenish your credits.
       
      You can pay for those credits via credit-card or Paypal. We do not mandate any specific amount. You decide the amount based on your budget. Just make sure that it is in multiples of 5 :).

  • How do I keep track of my payments and my credits?
    • You can track your payments & leads through your online account. Use this account to manage your :
       *  Promotional details (name, tagline, promo-text).
       *  Contact details (Phone#, Fax#, Email address SMS/Text address).
       *  Services details (List of services you provide and cities you serve).
       *  View the sales leads that were sent to you.
       *  View the customer feedback that was sent to you.

  • How does customer rating work and how does that impact me?
    • Unlike Yellow Pages, we do not charge service providers different $$ amounts for preferred placement. We believe that the best measure of a service provider's quality are the customer's rating. This is the best way for the quality providers to stand apart from the mediocre ones.
       
      When you are invited by a customer to bid on his/her project, ServiceCharlie sends you the project details and the customer contact information (the sales lead). ServiceCharlie also sends the customer an email asking for feedback and a simple 5-rating. This feedback constitutes customer ratings.
       
      The higher your rating from all your customers, the higher you will be ranked in the serach results. This improves your chances of being picked by subsequent customers ....

  • There are always problem customers. What if some give me unfair ratings?
    • ServiceCharlie.com ensures that rating screens are provided only to valid customers who have invited bids/quotes/offers from you. In other words, fake reviews from imposters or sneaky competitors can be isolated.

      Nevertheless, its true that every once in a while, we will come across a problem-customer who is just too hard to please.... Such is life (sigh)!
       
      But the vast majority of customers are genuine & sincere and feedback from those customers will offset the few problem customers.
       
      ServiceCharlie ensures that a customer cannot provide duplicate or multiple feedback. This way, a problem-customer cannot flood you with negative votes.
